IRCC has issued a record 11,150 ITAs in January — its biggest start ever. A new Express Entry draw held January 30 saw the number of invitations issued this month rise to 11,150, making this the biggest start to a year in the Express Entry system’s five-year history. The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score in today’s draw was 438, which is a five-point reduction over the previous invitation round on January 23 and the lowest minimum score for an all-program draw through Canada’s Express Entry system since October 4, 2017.

The Government of Canada held its second Express Entry draw of 2019 on Wednesday, January 23, issuing 3,900 invitations to apply for Canadian permanent residence to candidates with ranking scores as low as 443.Canada has now issued 7,800 invitations to candidates in the federal Express Entry system since the start of 2019. This is the most Invitations to Apply (ITAs) issued as of January 23 since Express Entry was introduced in 2015 to manage the pool of candidates for Canada’s three Federal High Skilled economic immigration categories — the Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class and Canadian Experience Class.

The Government of Canada kicked off the new Express Entry year in impressive style Thursday, issuing 3,900 invitations to apply for Canadian permanent residence to candidates with scores as low as 449.This was the highest number of invitations issued in a first draw of the year in Express Entry’s five-year history, marking the start of a 12-month cycle that is expected to see Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) break last year’s Express Entry record of 89,800 Invitations to Apply (ITAs).


3,900 Express Entry candidates will receive invitations to apply for Canadian permanent residence in the 107th Express Entry draw on December 19th, 2018. The minimum CRS cut-off score for this draw is 439.With a minimum CRS score cutoff of 439 points, this marks the lowest CRS score requirement in 2018 (with the exception of program-specific draws for the Federal Skilled Trades program)! In the December 19th draw, IRCC issued a total number of 3,900 invitations, staying consistent with the high number issued in the previous draw.

The Government of Canada issued 3,900 invitations to apply for Canadian permanent residence in a new Express Entry invitation round held December 12. The minimum score in this draw was 445. This was the sixth draw in a row to issue 3,900 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) and leaves Canada just 124 invitations shy of a new record for the most ITAs issued in a single year.
